Polaroid Is World’s First Pocket Printer

Have you ever heard about a little cute printer that fits into your pocket and allow you to print pictures of your loved ones anytime at any place wirelessly, I hope not. Well, Polaroid a well known brand of its kind recently launched their ZIP Instant Mobile Printer this month. ZIP Printer permits users to print their memories and lovely moments directly from their cameras and Smartphone wirelessly by using a special app known as ‘Polaroid ZIP app’ which allow users to manage their pocket printer and get their colorful life snaps. Its latest technology prints 2”x3” photo on a special type of paper in just 60 seconds. This paper can be stick anywhere because of its sticky back.

The pocket printer uses Polaroid’s ZINK zero ink technology, first used with their PoGo Instant Printer in 2008. It embeds the dye crystals on photo paper which gives smudge-free and photo-quality prints, which eliminates the requirement for ink cartridges, ribbons or toner. Polaroid worked intimately with San Francisco-based design studio Ammunition on the design of the pocket-sized printer to keep the device small, easy-to-use and aesthetically enjoyable. The Polaroid ZIP app also permits users to amend photos, apply filters, add smilies and create collages.
